how do I delete items from kindle library that already appear to be deleted?

I go to manage kindle library and I look for the book(s) that keep popping up kindle devices and kindle pc and its not listed in library but it keeps popping up in kindle PC and I cant delete books from kindle pc. ITs Return and Adventures of Sherlock holmes. These are unnecessary because I have one book that already contains those volumes.
